Apologies for the delays on this. A handful of our favorite applicants have received other sponsorship offers since our form first opened. (Which is a good thing! Congratulations to them!) Our team be discussing a path forward and will update you as soon as possible.

Until then, we'd like to extend our thanks to everyone who applied for a spot or helped spread the word. As a team, it's always reassuring to see the excitement around this kind of initiative in the community, especially in scenes we haven't worked with before.

With our Combo Breaker applications officially closed, we will take a few days to discuss and deliberate. Our goal is to reach out to the chosen players early next week to discuss next steps.

With the final piece of the #MPGR2019 being released today, we'd like to extend our congratulations to the Makeshift Alumni who made the Top 100 for 2019!

To answer some questions we've received: this application will remain active until sometime in mid-February to give ample time for players to submit. There's also no restriction on games we're taking applicants for, so even you old-man-game players have a shot at a free room.

For those of you who are unfamiliar, we've sponsored players in the Smash scene since 2017 and have done a similar room giveaway at Shine 2019. This time we're looking to level up that experience and open our doors to the wider FGC at our favorite tournament of the year.

What an awesome journey is has been with Nico these past couple of years. We've been privledged to watch him grow as a player and a person and this is certainly feeling like the year he reaches his goal of Top 100 ♥️
