@DrMashobaADieta Indefinitely will. I can even increase my contribution to R10. I think let’s appoint Mr Kieswetter to manage the fund.

Dr Anele Hammond proposes a simple but powerful idea: if every Black person contributes just R1 a month, we could generate close to half a billion rand a year. That kind of collective effort can build real institutions and fund meaningful projects that directly uplift our communities. Would you participate and contribute R1?

Elon, bro Here's a plan. If you're serious about this, that is. Call off these fluffers and paid praise singers. They are wrong, irritating, disrespectful, and they are doing your cause a lot of harm. Get on a plane, and come and sit down with the relevant authorities and decision makers. Here, in SA. Show respect, show us that we want to work with you. Record the meeting(s) if you worry about skullduggery. Bring the facts. Bring your arguments, stats, show us how everyone benefits. Address our security concerns, give us a few simple safety backups. Negotiate this like the businessman you are. You did not build your empire using the whiny victim model currently in play. If there are others pushing this current mess, bring them along. It will make everything easier. Walk back the harm of the last few months. Talk to us about business, and benefits, respectfully, as people that you want to do business with, not people that owe you a favour. There are just far too many big pieces missing in your current presentation. People have noticed, and doubling down on that, and adding anonymous X influencers really just don't do it for us. We are funny that way. That, or pack up your wares and leave. When a salesman gets a "no" he tries harder, or goes knocking on the next door. He doesn't insult and threaten the potential client. It's weird. And rude. One way or the other - decision time.

A lot of misinformation from legacy media about Starlink’s entry into South Africa. Here’s the truth 👇 • ❌ “Starlink wants to bypass B-BBEE” ✅ False — it supports transformation via EEIP, a legal framework already used by companies like Microsoft, IBM, and Amazon Web Services. • ❌ “Starlink is asking for special treatment” ✅ No — it’s asking for equal rules so ALL satellite operators can compete fairly. • ❌ “EEIP is less beneficial than equity deals” ✅ Reality — Starlink’s plan would connect 5,000 rural schools with FREE high-speed internet, impacting millions of students every year. • ❌ “It won’t create local impact” ✅ It will partner with local businesses, create jobs, and boost the economy (broadband growth = GDP growth). • ❌ “It will become a monopoly” ✅ Impossible — Starlink operates globally in a competitive market across 150+ countries. • ❌ “Security & privacy risks” ✅ It will fully comply with South African laws like every other country it operates in. • ❌ “Starlink is already operating illegally” ✅ Wrong — it is NOT operating because it is still waiting for a license.

Many Africans love President Trump's conservative values and straight talk. I said that on CNN and some accused me of lying. Africa is not a monolith, of course, but I travel around it full time and I meet more Trump fans than haters. Where do you stand?

A shameful headline. This is not why they are gathering. They didn't cause the current fragmentation and the economic turmoil that came with it. They also have been loudly calling for an end to wars. So creating a platform where they craft a shared future and insulate themselves from the same people who have upended international law and the principles of shared interest, IS NOT "Global leftists leaders gather to mobilise against fair right." The people who always position themselves AGAINST are well known. Tsek with your divisive, loaded framing.

I challenge any other modern democratic country to prove that their populace is dumber than America's. Y'all can't do it. The election of Trump, especially the second term, cements America as the dumbest modern nation in history.

@JDVance JD Vance, I think it’s time to read Mathew 13 verse 14-15. You are missing what the Pope is saying here. The Pope hasn’t walked anything back. Like President Macron said, leaders don’t have to talk everyday.

I am grateful to Pope Leo for saying this. While the media narrative constantly gins up conflict–and yes, real disagreements have happened and will happen–the reality is often much more complicated. Pope Leo preaches the gospel, as he should, and that will inevitably mean he offers his opinions on the moral issues of the day. The President–and the entire administration–work to apply those moral principles in a messy world. He will be in our prayers, and I hope that we'll be in his.
Fox News@FoxNews

NEW: Pope Leo downplays tensions with President Trump, addressing a "narrative that has not been accurate in all of its aspects." He says it is “not in my interest at all” to debate the president and will keep preaching a message of peace.

The Democratic Republic of Congo🇨🇩 has today morning received at least 45 deportees from the United States, security sources confirm, as the Trump administration steps up migrant removals to African countries. None of the deportees are from ‌#DRC. They are largely from Central and South America. President Felix Tshisekedi's government has set up facilities in the ‌capital Kinshasa to accommodate the these deportees. #DRC now joins a small but growing list of African nations, including Uganda, Ghana, Cameroon, South Sudan, Equatorial Guinea and Eswatini, in receiving third-country nationals deported from the United ‌States.

We are committed to further strengthening our Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership in all areas. We also discussed the situation in West Asia and stressed the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open and secure. @POTUS @realDonaldTrump

I don't like the USA? I criticize Mbeki and Zuma. So that means I don't like South Africa? I criticized Boris Johnson when I lived in the UK. So that means I don't like the UK? Donald Trump is America? Do you understand how daft that thinking is? And what is it with this juvenile framing of liking or not liking countries when it comes to geopolitics? Citizens all over the world protest and criticize political leadership. Does that mean they must live in Mars? I understand why teachers are exhausted. Teaching dunder heads is a big ask. No critical thinking.
