👏👏MIRACLE DOING WONDERS!! Miracle Oluebube Ezechukwu achieved another landmark performance at the MTN CHAMPS-Jos, running a remarkable 2⃣2⃣.9⃣1⃣s (+1.4) to win the U20 women's 200m final. It is the fastest 200m by a Nigerian woman, run in the country since the 2021 Olympic Trials when Grace Nwokocha won the Nigerian title in a time of 22.87s. The race was so fast, that both Rosemary Chigozie Nwankwo and Lucy Chiamaka Nwankwo who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively, equally ran new Personal Bests. Chigozie Nwankwo came in 2nd clocking 23.19s, while Lucy Nwankwo was 3rd in a time of 23.76s. These athletes are the future of Nigerian sprinting.

A future Nigerian sprinting rivalry!! Bernice Onoriode and Rebecca Enilolobo are the future of Nigerian female sprinting, and there's a feeling they will be going up against each other for many years. In the Youth Girls 200m final, Enilolobo blazed out first, and ate up the bend with the lead, but Onoriode had more strength in the home straight, crossing the line first place. Bernice ran a new Personal Best of 24.79s (-1.3) to win the Youth Girls 200m title, holding off the challenge of Rebecca who also ran a PB of 24.91s, finishing 2nd in the race. Chizoba Onyemuwa came in 3rd in the race, crossing the line in 26.47s.

🚨🚨TWO WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS QUALIFICATIONS!! 🚨🚨 A very big congratulations to MoC Academy athlete, Lucy Chiamaka Nwankwo, who hit two qualifications for the World Junior Championships in both the 100m and 200m. Nwankwo had a day to remember in Jos, first running a 100m Personal Best of 11.52s to finish 2nd in her semifinal heat, and then followed it up with another qualification, running the fastest time all 200m heats with a PB of 24.04s. She ran much faster than 11.78s and 24.35s, needed to qualify for either the 100m or 200m. Lucy is a rising Nigerian star to keep an eye on.
