@mattmfm I don’t see any reference to “millions” in NY Times coverage. Please link to your citation.

The New York Times now reports millions of Americans are attending No Kings anti-Trump protests across the country. Events in all 50 states. Officials in Los Angeles are calling the crowds “unprecedented.” This is likely one of the largest mass protests in U.S. history.

WASHINGTON (@AP) — Detailed Army plans for a potential military parade on President Donald Trump’s birthday in June call for more than 6,600 soldiers, at least 150 vehicles, 50 helicopters, seven bands and possibly a couple thousand civilians, The Associated Press has learned.

Those astronauts who were stuck on the space station for 278 extra days? No overtime, but a $5-a-day allowance for "incidentals" since they were government employees traveling for work. @yanzhuang25 nytimes.com/2025/03/20/us/…

@DrBrianKeating Far more important than prestige is a good fit between the student and the college. My older son was admitted to MIT but chose a small school instead. He had a lot of interaction with MIT students and realized he'd chosen correctly. And I agree.

📢 It's College Admissions Season. But getting into a good college ≠ Life’s Final Exam for kids or you, as their parents. Harvard. Stanford. Yale. Parents like Felicity Huffman went to jail over getting their kids in. But is a prestigious college really what matters? What about resilience? Character? Being a good human? Over 15,000 readers are about to receive this week’s Monday M.A.G.I.C. Message about why we worship college and why we shouldn’t. Join them here 👉 briankeating.com/x What do YOU think matters more: prestige or personal values? Comment below 👇

SARS-CoV-2 looks like it is currently as low as it will go, whether we get another wave sooner rather than later probably depends on whether we get a new, broadly immune evasive lineage showing up. How long will the dominance of Omicron descendents last?

A footnote: @AP’s Stylebook is one of the most influential reference works for current English usage. News orgs and writers follow its guidance on spelling, punctuation and place names. No one is obligated to follow what it says, of course, but many do. washingtonpost.com/style/media/20…
