Yesterday, I saw a man of another race hit a Black woman’s car and try to speed off. I threw my car in sports mode so fast and got that tag number 😭 Went back, gave her the info, and checked on her. She smiled and said “we gotta stick together out chea.” I said FACTS.

As most of you know the next thirty days are crucial 💔 One of my three fur babies was just diagnosed with heartworms… and the vet said she may not make it. 😭 In the past two days alone I’ve dropped over $1,400 on emergency treatment for her + testing the other two so this nightmare doesn’t spread. These pups are literally my whole world. Pray for Luna❤️

Here’s the updated version with “ex-husband” – I made the change smoothly so it still flows naturally: Hey friends ❤️ Just wanted to pop in and explain why I’ve been so quiet the last couple days—my head has been spinning in about 50 directions and I haven’t had the bandwidth to show up like I normally do. In the last 48 hours: • One of my dogs (Luna) was diagnosed with heart failure from heartworms. We’re doing a 30-day round of steroids, antibiotics, and a heartworm pill. If she handles it okay, they’ll do the injection to clear the worms around her heart. The next month is going to be touch-and-go, but we’re fighting for her. • Took the other two in today—they tested negative (thank God) and are now on heartworm prevention.
Both vet visits were really expensive, but worth it. On top of that, I’m still handling every single thing for my mom—appointments, meds, bills, the works—and she still refuses any care that could actually help her. It’s been a struggle since day one. All the stress triggered a bad autoimmune flare for me, so my brain is cloudy and I’m not thinking clearly. To top it off, when I was leaving my ex-husband’s house (where Luna is staying separated while she’s treated), I accidentally backed into my daughter’s car a few hours ago. Just one of those days. I’m sorry I know my impressions have been terrible and I haven’t been able to interact much. I promise I’ll get my head back on straight and be back to normal soon. Thank you for bearing with me and for all the love—you guys mean the world.
