@TaylorLorenz I’m a Westsider and live 5 miles from the beach. I’ll go kicking and screaming before I head East, which is just as expensive, not walkable, the weather sucks and the gentrification is problematic. Mostly, faux woke out of towners that think they’re too cool for the Westside 🤷‍♀️

@haleyp Real LA natives do go to the beach. I say this is a Malibu local, born and raised. I’ve lived all over the city and I’ve always gone to the beach regularly. Transplants don’t spend as much time at the beach, and for some reason seem very attached to the east side.

She got up to the store on the corner an hour ago and saw a firefighter,,,it sounds like it was several homes on Navajo and thats it. But he said he does not want to give false hope but for now the park is ok.

#BreakingNews: #WoosleyFire At least 3 homes and several boats burned in the Malibu Lake area; Fire moved so quickly residents had little time to escape; Luckily, no reports of injuries so far. @nbcla
