@realcyberpanda @BleepinComputer @cyb3rops @billtoulas The Mastodon team did a wonderful job of keeping server administrators updated well ahead of the patch release and vulnerability announcement and coordinated with us to ensure we applied the patches. Infosec.exchange was patched within about 45 minutes.

@BrettCallow @uuallan @AnneCutler @CyberSecDive @andrew_barratt I should contact the author to correct a statement about DMs. People do get bit when they try to talk about another person in a private message because it adds that person, but that person only sees the messages they are tagged in, not the whole history.
