Today, on April 16th 2026, i have confirmed a direct path to the solution. It is like: drop me in a hyper-space and I’ll find a way ‘out’. And not even a single step will be wasteful, or uninformed. On the 20-year journey to solving PeqNP. (A madness that only an autistic-ADHD mind like mine will take on.) ‘University scheduling system’ was my undergraduate final project in 2006. The fact that it was an unanswered question in the field bothered me to no end. After i received an A grade, and degree completed, i kept working on the algorithm for months. A modified version of that algorithm was then presented at an IEEE conference in China. 20 years later, i still can’t let go of this puzzle. Either it gets solved, or i keep trying. And lately i have been able to ‘visualize’ a data structure that i can’t put into words, but my possibly-delusional mind believes it is worth exploring. Today, i have confirmed, for the first time, that the light at the end of the tunnel is not an illusion, or a hallucination. There is something to it. Something worth pursuing. Will it result in polynomial behaviour, i don’t know. I’m not happy today. I’m not relieved today. I’m uneasy. I’m not tired. I’m not ‘when will this be done’. No, i’m more like… intrigued, captivated by the mystery. At the end of the day, most likely it is all a waste of time. But i can’t find anything that is more worth wasting time on. Nothing captures me like this has. It is either alignment, or my mind’s inability to let go of it unresolved. Whatever it is, it is. This is the kind of pursuit that when I tell people i’m trying this, they will laugh at me. And yet this is what i can let go of. Anyways, today it gave me enough dopamine to keep me hooked.
