It’s easy to go through life thinking we’re lacking in some area. If we had more talent, we could do something great. If we had a better personality, if we were more confident, more attractive, then we could reach our dreams. But as long as you’re discounting yourself, thinking you’re at a disadvantage, it’s going to keep you from rising higher.

Don’t dwell on the negative. This is how you live happy, not by avoiding difficult people, but by not taking their poison. Be an eagle; rise higher than the offense, the hurt, the jealousy. When God can trust you to do the right thing when it’s hard, there’s no limit to how high He will take you.
