@onelargeprawn The third one will be Kyushu, the third largest home island of Nippon. Known for hot springs scattered throughout the island.

@malmioja I can't remember where I saw it, please would you remind me what the name of third game in the Nippon series is? And when we're likely to see it?

@BrandonGameDev In a number based game finite amount of rerolls should do the trick.
English

@BrandonGameDev In an action selection game, all numbers should have something interesting thing to do so no or very minor mitigation needed.

@BrandonGameDev As a designer I'm mostly trying to sell the game through mechanisms to the publisher. After that I would like that the publisher takes the burden of appeasing the appetite of the gamers actually buying the game by choosing the theme. Might be the same that I imbedded in the game.

@BrandonGameDev Dropping a design because fun for me wasn't fun for the intended audience.

@HimeKirei1 No, if you take cards 4 and 33 away then it's legal. When you place a mountain it must go further. See pic in rulebook for six possible positions.

@BoardGameGeek My head went straight into civet coffee with a camel. It could be interesting good to trade.

@GeeksUnderGrace @PlayRenegade @archipictor @cinaen Thanks for the review. I think it was a good thing that you haven't played Honshu as this review might be the first to show Hokkaido without relevance to Honshu. The comparison is easy to do but there are other people also who haven't played and wants "pure" Hokkaido review

#Hokkaido from @PlayRenegade is the second map-building card game in the #Nippon series, bringing new ideas and mechanisms to the first design Honshu.
This is our #review of Hokkaido!

@DWP_Blog Sorry about that. That rule is there to avoid problems at end of game. I'll relay the message onwards if there something the publisher could do.
English

@malmioja Oh wow! Okay. The rules aren't super clear with examples :(
English

@Kwyjib0 @DWP_Blog If you add the end game rule where towns in line with the furthest away mountain are ignored then with two mountains side-by-side this is not possible. I teach the game that mountains must always go away from the start card and never parallel. Hope that clarifies this a bit. 😊
