@MathClubPodcast I'd like to add my less sophisticated way to figure this out. I know that the year 2100 will be divisible by 7, and I also know that it is 77 years from now. So 2023 must also be divisible by 7. =)

Happy New Year, #MathClub! If you're like us, you're probably wondering if 2023 is prime. Let's check if it's divisible by seven ("dbs"). 2023 is dbs iff 202 - (3 + 3) = 196 is. In turn, 196 is dbs iff 19 - (6 + 6) = 7 is. So 2023 is not prime, but 7 is a pretty lucky factor!

@MathClubPodcast I also have two reasons I love working on this podcast.... 1. I have learned SO MUCH (about math AND about podcasting) since we started this show six months ago. 2. Honestly, everyone, Pete and I would be having these conversations ANYWAY. It only made sense to record them. =)

There are two tied-for-first-place reasons why I (this is Pete) love working on this podcast: 1. The time I get to spend making episodes with my long-time friend, Noah @maluba2 2. The fantastic people (y'all) I get to build community with. I'm grateful for both! Thanks #MTBoS!
