I went to see a friend who has been in UTH since Jan 1. A govt 🚑 brought from Kasama GH. The cancer has spread & dialysis is not yielding desired results. He is discharged for homecare. A GRZ 🚑 to take him back to Kasama needs 18k for fuel & allowances for driver & a nurse.

Mwisho, my spirit has been crushed. I am visiting a place. Then, I am casually informed that a Zambian national is serving 32 years in federal prison nearby. What do you mean 'nearby'? I interjected with shock. He was incarcerated in 2013 for kidnapping and aggravated robbery. My heart instantly sunk. He is a son of a church reverend on the Copperbelt and originally arrived in the United States to pursue a family sponsored education. But fate can be dark and twisted. He is one of the 3 documented Zambian citizens behind bars in the United States federal prison system. And one among that trio jailed in another penitentiary is actually the son of a prominent Lusaka lawyer and politician. He is serving a lengthy prison term of 55 years for murder. Tragic.
