They pay you less than you're worth then teach you to be grateful for it. "At least you have a job." "Some people would kill for your position." "In this economy, be thankful." Gratitude is weaponised to keep you from asking for more.

Undiagnosed or unmedicated/unmanaged ADHD is saying "Tomorrow will be the day I'll finally get up, do the stuff that needs to be done, and start living my life to its fullest" and you unironically believe it every time until you look up one day and realise you're 30

Why do you have to pay 10% of what you earn on Council Tax for your house… When you already paid 15% stamp duty to buy the house… From money you paid 45% tax on in the first place  That’s 3 f*cling taxes just to LIVE.  Why do you have to pay 20% tax on a new car  And then up to £5,490 road tax  And then 59% fuel duty and 20% VAT which is £41.46 out for a £70 tank in tax  That’s 3 f*cking taxes just to DRIVE   AND there’s STILL POTHOLES f*cking everywhere Beyond a joke

Leaving a toxic workplace is a weird feeling… like you’re relieved you’ve finally left, but also annoyed that a perfectly good job has been unnecessarily ruined by a few people creating a horrible work culture.

Can I say the quiet part out loud? I don’t want to work a corporate job anymore. I’m tired. It’s exhausting having to make money just to live on this expensive planet that I was plopped onto. I want to live a full life. I want to travel. I want to make lots of friends and love lots of animals. I want to eat good food, read good books, watch good movies, drink good wine and lay on my fucking couch. And I want to NOT have to write a bunch of stupid emails every day in order to earn those things.

you ever realize that if you removed maybe three specific people from your workplace the whole experience would be genuinely fine. the job is not the issue. it never was.

I'm honestly fucking fed up with all of it. They take 40% of my pay right off the bat and then tax the fuck out of everything else that I pay for/buy. I'm sick of it. It is beyond fucked up that I have worked since I was 14 years old and I'm still broke. That ain't right.
