In 1997, surveillance footage captured Jeremy Strohmeyer at the Primm Valley Resort and Casino in Nevada, where he encountered Sherrice Iverson, a 7-year-old girl who was wandering the halls while her father gambled. Strohmeyer followed Sherrice into a restroom, where he sexually assaulted her and strangled her to death. Three days later, he was apprehended by police. During questioning, Strohmeyer admitted to molesting Sherrice and strangling her to silence her screams. He also confessed to twisting her head in an attempt to break her neck when he realized she was still alive. Finally, he positioned her body on a toilet with her feet in the bowl before fleeing the scene. Strohmeyer was later found guilty and sentenced to four consecutive life terms for his heinous crime.
