The same stupid argument: That rule was for that specific time, in the Old Testament, during war. It wasn’t about religion-it was about someone secretly coming to persuade you to leave (“let’s go”) and join the enemy, not simply to change your beliefs. That rule ended with those circumstances. When Jesus came, he said, “You have heard that it was said… but I tell you.” He didn’t kill Judas when he betrayed him, and none of the disciples killed anyone for leaving Christianity. Your prophet, however, ordered the killing of apostates for changing their beliefs, and that ruling never stopped-it is still considered valid today.
