NEWS: Dutch regulators (RDW), which just approved @Tesla FSD (Supervised) in the Netherlands, have just issued an official statement:
"Due to the continuous strict monitoring of the driver in the vehicle, the system is safer than other driver assistance systems. We have thoroughly researched and checked this system, more than a year and a half.
The RDW has issued a type approval for Tesla's driver's assistance system, FSD Supervised. This driver's assistance system has been extensively researched and tested on our test track and on public roads for more than a half years. Safety is paramount for the RDW. The proper use of this driver's system makes a positive contribution to road safety."
This approval from the RDW clears the path for approval in other European countries. Tesla owners in the Netherlands will be receiving FSD (Supervised) on their cars shortly. Amazing day!

BREAKING: Tesla has announced that FSD (Supervised) has officially been approved in the Netherlands and will begin rolling out to customer cars shortly, marking the first country in Europe to get approval!
This clears the path for approval in other European countries. EU-wide approval could come as soon as this summer.

Model Q 프로젝트가 정식으로 부활했다 — 완전히 새로운 세대의 소형 컴팩트 SUV.
이전에 돌던 루머들이 맞아떨어진 듯하다. 바로 지난달만 해도 중국에서는 올해 저가형 Model 3나 Model Y는 출시하지 않을 것이라는 얘기가 나왔었다.
이유는 공급망에서 돈이 안 되기 때문.
그래서 중국에서는 차라리 더 작은 컴팩트 차량을 출시해야 공급망도 수익을 낼 수 있다는 논리다.
그리고 올해 중국에서는 신차 발표가 없을 거라는 말도 있었는데,
오늘 4월 9일, 월스트리트·젠원·로이터 세 곳에서 동시에 보도가 나왔다.
테슬라가 현재 중국에서 완전히 새로운 소형 보급형 SUV를 개발 중이라는 내용이다.
이 차량은 과거 내부 코드명 ‘Redwood’로 불리던 프로젝트,
즉 NV91, Model 2 혹은 Model Y Mini로 알려졌던 모델이다.
일론 머스크가 2025년 3분기 실적 발표 이후 방향을 확정하면서,
더 이상 ‘다운그레이드(축소판)’ 모델은 만들지 않고,
CyberCab의 차세대 플랫폼을 기반으로 진짜 가성비 높은 엔트리 모델을 만들기로 했다.
예상 스펙:
•전장 4,400mm
•휠베이스 2,750mm
•Model 3보다 약 15% 작음
•주행거리 400~450km
•0→100km/h 약 5초
•목표 가격 약 15만 위안
진짜 ‘소형 괴물’이 온다.
이 차량은 CyberCab과 동일 플랫폼을 공유하며, 2024년에 개발된 ‘Unboxed Process’를 적용한다.
레고처럼 모듈화된 생산 방식으로,
•공장 면적 40% 축소
•생산 비용 50% 절감
차체 역시 CyberCab 계열 구조를 사용하며,
•48V 저전압 시스템
•알루미늄 백본 + 폴리우레탄 복합 소재
•가볍고 단단하며 충돌 에너지 흡수 성능 강화
•색상이 소재 자체에 포함되어 도장 공정(페인트 공장)까지 생략
또한 상하이 연구소에서 과거에 설계했던 소형 유선형 Model Y 콘셉트를 기반으로,
•넉넉한 2열 공간
•CyberCab급 인포테인먼트 시스템
이 적용될 예정이다.
출시 전략은
중국 우선 → 이후 유럽/미국으로 확대, Model YL과 동일한 방식으로 진행될 가능성이 크다.
일정:
•첫 시제품 테스트: 2026년 하반기
•양산 시작: 2027년 상반기 (상하이 공장 대량 생산)
배터리는 약 53kWh급 LFP(리튬인산철) 배터리, 중국 생산 → 글로벌 판매.

Reuters reports $TSLA is in early development for a new entry-level vehicle, roughly 5% smaller than the Cybercab. It reportedly has NOT received a green light yet, and no timing was given. My first reaction was click bait.
My take: We’ve seen two hints about new models this month: today’s Reuters story and Elon’s March 25th comment that “something way cooler than a minivan is coming.” What is more clear is Tesla is working on new vehicles. My guess, we see an announcement in 2027 pointing toward a 2028 release.
