Thanks for all the tips. After a brief stint with Magped magnetic pedals (which seemed good but broke on RideLondon, stuck & made me fall over at the end of RideReigate and ended up nearly killing me in Camberwell) — I have gone for the classic Keo’s and they are ace.

Any tips for riding in clipless pedals? About to try some ‘Look Keo’ pedals. I hated the metal shimano things. Hoping the big plastic numbers are easier to unclip.

@katylcowan @creativeboom Watch for Typefoundries that do not want to work with projects of any scale. Many foundries now have rules & legalities that kill choices & force clients to resort to free fonts when faced with uncertain financial fees that often penalise the success of the design.

@manchipp @_philmillward You could maybe pop down to Clerkenwell Screws and see what they have if your purchase isn’t right

If I was trying to find this bolt and nut combo. What would I ask for? One is a standard countersunk bolt. But the other is a kind of hollow version of the bolt. Both with Allen key hex socket tops.

@jrainsford Yes. Could be. Seen descriptions saying ‘book binder’ I’ve ordered something curious on Ebay. Let’s see! Thanks for your help.

@manchipp I think they are sometimes referred to as Chicago screws. Is it the thing you sometimes see as a method of binding books?

@_philmillward What a mission. I think it’s this. Does the m3 bolt work with the m4 barrel nut?

@jrainsford 3mm thread. 15mm long. Bolt. I think that makes it an M3? The hollow version, that has the thread on the inside. Not outside… that the M3 goes into? No idea of what they are called.

@manchipp You need to know what thread it is, M5, M6 etc and then search countersunk and hex. I bought a bag on Amazon recently using just that info. Bolts follow same M5 etc to match

@danielmather They look very cool. Gonna work my way up to them. It’s less the clip in I fear. And more the foresight to clip out before the car pulls in / buss slams on brakes / child runs into road. London roads are hard to predict!

@manchipp They do look it, but once you get used to where the cleat is positioned in your shoe it’s great, and with them being double-sided it doubles your ability to clip in first time.

@PlasticCrayons You lovely man! Thank you! I’ve got the pedals here now. So will give them a go near soft landings and let you know!

@manchipp I think have an old pair of KEO in the garage, you're welcome to them as they're easy to clip in an out of whilst you get used to it.
