If Jason Wilcox is serious about changing Manchester United’s transfer strategy, the first statement has to be discipline in the market. Signing Ederson FIRST for €40M-45M sends the wrong signal immediately. Selling clubs would know United are ready to spend aggressively, and that instantly weakens negotiating power for the rest of the window. Then you risk situations where: Matheus Fernandes suddenly costs almost double. Anderson type signings become massively inflated. Tonali deals turn into an impossible negotiations financially. The best run clubs control the market. They don’t let the market control them. That’s exactly why Ederson should be valued at no more than €25M–€30M.

Players like him contribute more to a team, but it's hard to quantify due to low goals and assists. Think of Kante, Caicedo, and other ball-winning midfielders. I think he would be a fantastic addition to Man United!
