@elonmusk My focus would be on families. We have a disabled veteran unable to work due to a faulty device in his knee. I work full time to support us and our 3 teen boys and get no help from the federal government. All I want is to be able to live in a home we own and afford necessities.

@pttopt We have. 😊 I joined this company because of the work they were doing around patients and implants. A good friend of our founder lost his grandfather when his pacemaker malfunctioned. They didn't know it had been recalled. trackmysolutions.us/trackmy-implan…

For those of you that have received an implanted medical device, did you receive an implant card which listed your device’s unique device identifier? The UDI acts almost like the VIN on your vehicle and is used to relay important recall information.

Doctors could also scan the barcode for them. Not only would the patient receive recall alerts, they would get more information about their medical device as well as instructions on how to submit an adverse event report if needed.

Example: Mine is on the left, my fathers on the right. Though it’s faded, you can see my fathers has a barcode and the UDI is along the bottom. I want doctors to provide these cards to everyone and provide a website link where they can input the number to be alerted of recalls.

@Achieve_xl As for recalls, hospitals have to rely on device manufacturers for recall information. Then they have to relay that information to the patients. It's a very slow, unreliable process. Access to UDI information could help identify patients w recalled devices faster w digitization.

@Achieve_xl Many don't know to ask for it and those that do tend to get dismissed. My mother fractured her femur last year and her doctor looked at me like a crazy person when I asked for hers. Under the Cures Act patients now have the right to access any and all medical information.
