@EnjoyerPhos It sucks because like i GUESS you're a "better person" for choosing not to do it but when the game taunts you for it like. you're not meant to take it 100% seriously, it's artsy fartsy literacy stuff that's meant to make you go "Wow... what does this say about me..."

Ralsei being so sassy in chapter 1 is probably cuz Survey_Program was a demo for Deltarune so it was supposed to showcase the rest of the game and by extension, how the characters will act in the full game, that's probably why he stopped being so sassy in ch 2

@johtoprince @ghostvesselmads Yeah but just from a tone perspective having every chapter just get progressively darker is a little boring. Watching everything slowly fall apart in chapter 5 without any of them knowing is setting up for the rest of the game, and Susie's arc would be all messed up

@mandarininator @ghostvesselmads I personally don't think it would've made a difference. Discovering the Knight in this chapter and then discovering Kris is WORKING with the knight next would've been crazy alongside the titan fight imo

it's so insane to me how hard the roles are swapped when you fight flowery and he stands as the defying force against the prophecy while kris and the rest of the heroes fight to maintain its trajectory, it's why it could never have came before chapter 4
