@Brina_Lea Same thing is happening to me but I never obtained my degree. They started taking it last year. If you set up a payment plan they will not take the whole refund.

Found out today that our tax refund is being taken for my student loans because they're in default. I owe $97k rn for a stupid Bachelor's degree that I've never used. I really wish I'd never gone to University of Phoenix. We needed that refund. I'm so devastated rn.

In 1979 students paid $500 a year in today's dollars to attend Cal State University. Today they pay $7,300. We're failing our young people, but it's not too late to fix. We're going to make public colleges, universities and trade schools tuition-free and cancel student debt.
