Esta mañana, la secretaria de #MedioAmbiente, @aliciabarcena, inauguró el Taller Nacional sobre Movilización de la Acción Colaborativa para la Conservación y Restauración de los Manglares en México, un evento organizado por @Mangroves y #AMERE. En la ceremonia también participaron Jorge Rickards, director general de @WWF_Mexico, Carlos Correa, Embajador para el Avance de los Manglares, e Ignace Beguin, director ejecutivo de la Secretaría del Avance de los Manglares. 📌 Durante su intervención, la titular de la #Semarnat destacó que, a través del Programa Nacional de Restauración Ambiental, la dependencia trabaja en la identificación de sitios prioritarios para revertir la degradación ecológica y frenar la pérdida de biodiversidad en el país. 📌 Además, la secretaria subrayó que el @GobiernoMX tiene como objetivo la conservación de 15 millones de hectáreas de manglares. Se estima que una sola hectárea de manglar puede capturar hasta 3,754 toneladas de CO2, equivalente a las emisiones que generan 2,650 automóviles en un año, lo que los convierte en aliados fundamentales para mitigar los efectos del #CambioClimático. La protección y restauración de estos valiosos ecosistemas requieren de un esfuerzo conjunto entre diferentes sectores y de fuentes de inversión sostenibles, para asegurar su conservación a largo plazo. #SomosMedioAmbiente
