He starts with that intense, almost stern expression while eating. Then, on being asked, “naam kya hai unka,” his face sharpens, becoming attentive. There’s a brief flicker of confusion as he processes the question, and the moment he realizes he is being asked about Ila… that soft, almost shy smile appears. So many emotions in seconds, all effortless, all real. Irrfan Khan was, arguably, the finest actor of our times. It’s been six years since we lost him.

female cops did undercover investigation to uncover a racket of predators. they saved female victims. but, Irena here is committed. she can't appreciate it because it goes against the very core of her belief system, so she will mock those female cops! 👏

TCS shocker: allegations of sexual harassment, coercion and religious conversion that need a proper inquiry and zero tolerance if found guilty . Did it require an under-cover police op for victims to speak out in a leading corporate? What was HR team doing?

IT TAKES A LOT TO BE REVATHI…!!! While the whole country is celebrating the landmark judgement of death penalty for the NINE policemen in the Santhanakulam custodial torture and murder of Jeyaraj and Bennix, you should know about Revathi. Revathi was a constable in Santhanakulam police station in 2020 when the gruesome incident took place. She was the key witness and the sole reason for all the arrogant officers getting punished today. The police men involved in the brutality were all big men, Revathi was a small time constable. But she stood unperturbed. When Magistrate Bharathidasan, who initially investigated this case, arrived at the Santhanakulam police station he had no clue that constable Revathi will help close the case. "Sir, I will tell you everything, every detail, the truth that is being hidden. But I am the mother of two young girls... can you guarantee the safety of my children and my job?", she had asked the magistrate. Revathi was on night duty when the cruel incident took place. She witnessed the brutality being inflicted on Jeyaraj and Bennix and narrated every single detail. She told how SI Balakrishnan, inspector Sridhar and SI Ragukanes, kept beating the father and son with whatever they found, and how they also stomped on their private parts with their shoes. She remembered their screams. She saw how the officers took pause only to sip alcohol while the victims withered in pain. When the father and son were semi-conscious, unable to bear it, Revathi asked Jayaraj if he needed anything. She gave him coffee which the officials spilt it immediately. Revathi couldn’t stand the brutality but being a woman constable there was only so much she could do. She then offered water to the victims. The so called policemen then stripped Bennix naked, tied his hands and legs separately, and beat him up. They did the same to Jeyaraj. Revathi couldn’t bear the pain of their screams, she left the place. According to the postmortem report, their entire back was skinned, iron rods were inserted and they bled from their rectums. When the case was being discussed by the media, when even the CM of Tamil Nadu tried to brush it away, Revathi knew the truth. The police officials, cleaned up the station of any DNA evidences, erased the CCTV footage and warned everyone to shut-up and not try to become heroes. But Revathi didn’t just narrate the entire ordeal in exact detail…she even helped the investigating officials obtain other crucial information. Despite everything being cleaned, Revathi gathered DNA of the victims in crevices of the walls and floors, on furniture and other objects. She was questioned, threatened, intimidated, bribed and even abused. She stood by justice. She had to go against her colleagues for justice of comman man. In the time when police force is often looked upon with reasonable suspicion, there are people in uniform like Revathi. Today court could pronounce death sentence to nine police officers - only because one woman decided she will stand by truth! Kudos to Revathi, an amazing woman and an absolutely fabulous police officer. The world is a better place because of her courage. Salute ma’am 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Oracle fired 12,000 of its Indian workforce and is expected to sack more. Another reminder of how fragile stability is in the private sector. One secures employment, income begins to flow, long-term plans take shape, home, car, loans, EMIs. And then, a single decision by the corporate to “rationalize” or “downsize,” and everything collapses overnight. Unless you quickly re-enter the job market, fixed liabilities don’t pause; they compound stress and can upend an otherwise steady life. While you earn, you must pay taxes. The moment you lose your job, you’re on your own. In fact, you even have to pay tax on the severance also. Maybe it’s time to introduce reforms, such as mandating severance pay ranging from three months to one year based on an employee’s tenure, as is the norm in the West; allowing EMI pauses for a 3-6 months; and providing a time-bound monthly allowance from the govt for involuntary job losses. If Ladla/Ladlis can get free money, free ration, free water, and electricity, without paying any income tax, why not support a worker who has been paying taxes and contributing?

He is Tarun Kumar, a 25-year-old resident of Delhi. Do you know what happened to him? He was lynched to death by a Muslim mob. Do you know the reason? Because a balloon was accidentally thrown at a Muslim woman by kids during Holi, and she blamed him for it. This is the condition of “secularism” in India. We are asked to avoid eating during Ramzan, and yet they cannot tolerate a few drops of colour during our festivals. This is the reality of their tolerance level. This is the reality of their 24/7 victim card. Do they look oppressed? He was a Dalit, and yet you won’t see any self-proclaimed Dalit activists speaking for him.

Kids were playing Holi in Delhi’s Uttam Nagar. An 11 yo girl threw a water balloon from her roof toward her father standing on the road below. The balloon burst on the street; a few stray droplets splashed a nearby woman from the Muslim community. Woman got angry. An argument followed. The girl’s family apologised. By all accounts, the matter seemed over. But apparently, it wasn’t. About half an hour later, a mob, armed with bricks, stones and iron rods, arrived and attacked the girl's family. In the assault, Tarun (pictured), a young man, was killed and four others were injured. Killing someone over an accidental splash of water, one that had already been apologised for, cannot plausibly be explained by that moment alone. When violence erupts with such speed and ferocity, it suggests that something far deeper than the stated trigger was waiting just beneath the surface.

An 11-year-old girl in Delhi's Uttam Nagar was playing Holi on the terrace when she threw a water balloon at her father standing below. The balloon fell onto the road and splashed water on a burqa-clad woman. They apologised to the woman. But about an hour later, when Tarun (a relative of the girl) was returning home, a group of 15-20 people brutally assaulted him with iron rods, bricks, stones, and other objects. He was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

This country is really unlivable now. Today, a section of under-construction Metro bridge collapsed onto vehicles in Mulund, Mumbai. 1 person killed & 3 injured. No construction was going on. It was a finished section. Imagine the corruption in broad daylight!

Visited the Janakpuri accident site where sewer line work was underway. The tragedy is deeply regretted and our thoughts are with the grieving family. Executive Engineer , AE and JE have been suspended with immediate effect. Strict action is being taken against the responsible agency. Delhi Jal Board has constituted a high-level Inquiry Committee to fix responsibility.

> Pay 30% income tax on salary > Pay 30–50% tax on bike > Pay GST on car insurance > Pay road tax & fuel tax After paying all this, any day you can just fall into a deep open hole and die. What must be going through his mind in his last moments? Just think.

Thank your stars daily when you reach home safely at the end of the way. Your life’s value is zero, be selfish, be alert, be proactive and try to protect yourself in all possible ways. Feel like you are in a war-zone when you are on road. You are up against bigger vehicles, wrong side vehicles, potholes, manholes, stray animals, falling bridges / boards / wires / kite string and what not! Please be safe Brothers!

Pakistan has refused to play India in the T20 CWC match scheduled in Sri Lanka, despite knowing that it will reduce their chances of qualification and significantly affect their revenue share. The Indian board, on the other hand, never took such a stand because money is all they want, something they conveniently covered up by claiming that refusing to play would mean sacrificing the Asia Cup, a trophy that holds no value in the larger scheme of things. It’s sad that a terror factory disguised as a country, bankrupt both morally and financially, surviving on loans and hypocrisy, is still showing more self-respect than us.

50 stitches. Head, face, neck. Morning walk turned into a life-threatening attack. A 31-year-old woman in Bengaluru was mauled by a pet dog, reportedly without provocation. CCTV confirms it. This is not “just an accident.” This is system failure. Where is enforcement of leash rules? Where is accountability of pet owners? Why do victims have to suffer first before authorities wake up? Dog love ≠ public danger. Compassion ≠ negligence. Urban India cannot run on hashtags after every attack. Enough excuses. Fix the laws. Enforce them. Now.
