*Strengthening Healthcare Excellence in North East: AIIMS Guwahati Inaugurates New Specialty Wards* AIIMS Guwahati proudly marks another significant milestone in strengthening comprehensive tertiary healthcare services with the inauguration of a dedicated 55- IPD Ward beds which include Ophthalmology beds, along with newly established IPD facilities for Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PMR), Pulmonary Medicine, and Dental services. The services were inaugurated by Prof (Col) Ashok Puranik-Executive Director, Medical Superintendent, HODs of Departments in the presence of Faculty,Nursing officers and other staff of AIIMS Guwahati. With this expansion, the institute has increased its inpatient bed (IPD) strength from 387 to 442 beds. This important augmentation reflects the institute’s continued commitment towards enhancing patient care capacity, improving accessibility to specialized healthcare services, and advancing state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for the people of the Northeast region. The newly inaugurated facilities are expected to further streamline multidisciplinary clinical services, strengthen advanced patient management, and reinforce the vision of AIIMS Guwahati in delivering accessible, high-quality, affordable, and patient-centric healthcare to the region.

आज मेरे जीवन का बहुत अहम दिन है। मैं यशस्वी प्रधानमंत्री माननीय श्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी का दिल से धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि उन्होंने मुझे @NITIAayog का सदस्य के रूप में सेवा करने का अवसर प्रदान किया है । मैं एक पश्चिम बंगाल के सुदूर गाँव के दलित वर्ग के एक आम किसान परिवार का बेटा हूँ। बचपन से ही मिट्टी की खुशबू, मेहनत की कीमत और संघर्ष की सच्चाई मेरी ज़िंदगी का मुख्य अंग रही है। आज की ज़िम्मेदारी मेरे लिए सिर्फ़ एक पद नहीं है, यह मुझ जैसे अनगिनत आम लोगों के सपनों, उम्मीदों और विश्वासों की झलक है। मेरा पक्का मानना ​​है कि देश के सम्पूर्ण विकास के लिए दूर-दराज़ के इलाकों, किसान समुदाय और आम लोगों की ज़िंदगी की गुणवत्ता में सुधार लाना बहुत ज़रूरी है। इस उद्देश्य के लिए, मैं माननीय प्रधानमंत्री जी के मार्गदर्शन में ईमानदारी, लगन और पूरी ज़िम्मेदारी के साथ काम करने का वादा करता हूँ। माननीय प्रधानमंत्री जी की दूर की सोच वाली नेतृत्व में देश की तरक्की के इस सफ़र में थोड़ा सा भी योगदान दे पाना मेरे लिए गर्व की बात है। मैं सभी का आशीर्वाद और सहयोग चाहता हूं l @narendramodi @PMOIndia @AmitShah @HMOIndia @dpradhanbjp @EduMinOfIndia
