An eminent colleague of mine in US recently lamented, we often see individual scientific brilliance from India but we no longer expect to see large scale technological endeavours where many scientists & engineers work together. Point to ponder on the eve of 75th independence day.

We show: (i) Local heating due to light absorption by sp² carbon-based electrode itself independent of LSPR effects is the source of the photo-induced enhancement. (ii) Higher charge transfer at elevated T, and not faster substrate diffusion is responsible for the enhancement.
