not exactly an expert here but i truly feel like the entire knockdown complex has to be like…one of the best / most innovative nightlife projects in the world right now. they put on banger after banger and constantly level up and it really is just the best place to party in NYC

@BandicootTrash_ wrong, most women with distinctly bloated (moon) faces are either dealing with PCOS or some similar sort of endocrine dysregulation. Losing weight will not fix that issue for any woman.

@SusanaBeezus @heyjoydoe instant oatmeal yes, steel cut/rolled oats no. the fiber in the steelcut/rolled oats slows glucose adsorption, regulating your blood sugar. incorporate foods high in resistant starch if you're struggling with insulin resistance or PCOS-related weight gain.

@heyjoydoe Ok so I stopped using oat milk years ago for this exact reason. BUT I have oatmeal every morning. Is it the same thing? Am I playing myself?

a 2025 revelation was oat milk was spiking my blood sugar and keeping me fatter and now I have less inflammation and lose weight easier since switching back to whole a2 milk and yogurt only.

Whenever I return to Brooklyn after spending a day in Manhattan it feels like the biggest sigh of relief I’ve ever felt. You could not pay me enough to live there goddamn

@KenseiAbbot @kusuolicha @DAMitsDevon queens was built out mostly as a suburb and the best parts at the ones that resemble upper manhattan or the northeast bronx (read: walkable+urbanized). it seems like you don't like city living, which is fine--most people from queens don't. that's why they live in queens.

@KenseiAbbot @kusuolicha @DAMitsDevon a million identical homes right next to each other with 50sq feet of backyard for each cramped semidetached is not enviable "space" or "peace" compared to a pre-war inwood 3 bed with original parquet floors, a step down living room and the muscota marsh on your doorstep.

@KenseiAbbot @DAMitsDevon i have family members to the east and west side of manhattan all the way from EV/WV to inwood. There are great neighborhoods and great communities spread throughout. What works for some won't work for all--couldn't imagine living in long island but tons of ppl do it.

@sn0oozey graduated w/ FT offer where I interned senior yr. said I'd sign after my summer internship (NYC->CA). catty old coworker texted me halfway thru: "sorry to hear you'll no longer be FT but I can offer you extra hours when you're back!". gave me a headstart on landing a great job.
