When I look at Zama, what stands out to me most is Encrypted Execution, not privacy.
@zama doesn’t “wrap” data around the EVM.
They are building a FHE native execution model.
On Zama, smart contracts live entirely in an encrypted state
State = TFHE ciphertexts
Logic = homomorphic operations
No plaintext, not even at runtime
Execution happens in the encrypted domain from start to finish.
What I value most: deterministic FHE execution
This is the hardest problem for on-chain FHE.
Zama addresses it by:
Using TFHE to control noise growth
Designing an execution model aligned with blockchain constraints
Preserving composability & verifiability
This is the line between a research demo and real infrastructure.
Zama doesn’t rely on permissions
They use cryptographic access control:
Validators verify ciphertexts
Only holders of the decryption key can read the result
Correctness does not depend on trust
The blockchain executes without understanding the data.
When execution is encrypted, incentives shift naturally
Can’t read state → no natural MEV
No intermediate signals → no alpha leakage
No observation → no behavioral manipulation
FHE doesn’t stop bad actors.
It removes the surface they rely on.
