I hate tweeting this kind of thing, but I think it also needs documenting : I think we took less money today, than ever before, in our 26 years. If anybody knows any jokes?
Gutted but can’t help feeling it would have been too soon for us. What Coventry did in defence would have been what we would have faced time and again in the Prem but worse. We build and go again stronger for it #boro
I'm planning to have some more of my Spiders Nightclub book printed. £14.99, including P&P. If you'd like to put your name down for a copy then please let me know. Or if you know of a person who'd like one. Thanks. #SpidersNightclub
@petepaphides Possibly my book of the year. So much resonated with me in terms of my adolescence - musically exactly at the same place despite being two years older than you (but that’s growing up in Holderness for you).
And thank you to everyone who has bought the book and continued to enthuse about it here and elsewhere. I’ve really endeavoured to reply to every message I’ve received on here. Sincere apologies to anyone who I inadvertently missed out. xxxx
A whole bunch of things happened to me in 2021 that I may never be fortunate enough to experience again. Thank you so much to @RSLiterature and the Christopher Bland Award panel for springing the mother of all surprises on me back in June. youtube.com/watch?v=a1bxka…
@petepaphides Live at Counter Eurovision LP scarce and very expensive nowadays. Huge personal regret not buying it when I had both hands on a vinyl copy back in the day (at Sydney Scarborough’s in Hull)
Hard to listen to Steel Pulse’s Handsworth Revolution LP without wanting to go straight to Misty In Roots’ Live At The Counter Eurovision. Both bands astonishing at this time. Perhaps the two greatest roots reggae debuts by UK acts? Maybe Aswad too? And UB40’s Signing Off, yes?
