@Fizzi36 I am in favor of these codes. The Port Priority issue comes down to RPS on who gets "advantage". I do not believe that a player should receive advantage, however small, on what is essentially random (rps).

Are you in support of these codes? Regardless, it's always up to TO's what they choose to use at their events. Worth noting, afaik these codes also have not been tested very extensively. They could certainly cause problems including unintended game behavior and crashes.

Let's talk about port priority. I'm considering including an optional codeset to fix some of the more obvious instances of it. It would come in the form of a toggle in Slippi Nintendont. Some codes already exist. I'll discuss them in this thread. Looking to field opinions.

@Fizzi36 I love the april fools mode, and honestly would probably play a "more casual" playlist like this often if it were introduced.

Unfortunately it won't be much of a "joke", but the event was quite fun for a lot of people and I thought it was worth bringing back for one day. For those who don't like it: I'm sorry, please try to hold out for one day.

@Fizzi36 IMO, once ranked mode comes out, it should switch back to how it was before for the reasons you listed in the thread. Also, no reason to have two different modes that function almost identically. Until then, "Don't care/see results".

Most of the reactions I've seen to the tighter matchmaking have been positive, especially from high level players. I think I'll extend the time it stays this way, give more people time to air their grievances lol. That said, what do you think of it?

@PlanktonPoster @notkaleb_ @panctriotic @Fizzi36 Yes you can! I've been running it on Linux for years now without any issues. The only "gotcha" I ever hit was when I was using KDE, I had to manually disable the compositor as it was causing performance issues (and this may only because I have a semi-old CPU).

Revived some old code today which attempts to solve the "potato PC problem". This problem occurs when someone is running Slippi on a potato and cannot run the game at 60 fps. 🧵
