The assistant district attorney who filed completely fabricated AI material in a murder case and then lied about it has been suspended by the Georgia Supreme Court for six months. That seems lenient given the dishonesty involved, and the fact that it went undetected for so long.

When I was in college, I heard a lot about Marxist critiques of capitalism, of art, etc. You could "deconstruct" almost anything, like the way they make sandwiches at Burger King. It made midwits feel sophisticated. Somewhere along the line academics and their student spawn backed by corrupt money turned a pseudo intellectual parlor game into a governing philosophy bio weapon. Libs can't support Romney-types because they really believe Marxism creates social nirvana and all it requires of them is to emote and be lazy.

I’ll never understand why libs went after normie Republicans so hard (eg Romney in 2012, the SPLC going after milquetoast pro life groups, etc.).
Libs had a defanged, captured opposition who were happy going 60mph in the same direction the Left was heading towards at 90 mph and who just wanted things to be a little more ‘free market.’
Libs should have buttressed Chamber-of-Commerce Republicans. That they didn’t and instead tried to anathematize them was a generational political error.

Yglesias OTOH I think is smart but often plays dumb when he senses that being openly honest and aware will carry social penalties.
A lot of what libs profess to believe absolutely can be explained by social competition and incentives. This hits home to Yglesias and it’s a little humiliating to him that it’s so transparent and so that’s why he’s lashing out like this.
