Germany vs Spain was the highest level match of the Euros. The way to understand this is being able to decipher what is tactical process and what is individual quality. Nagelsmann’s tactical process was top - very even levels of possession, was able to limit Spain supply to Nico/Yamal with an aggressive man2man pressing scheme. Late individual quality from Olmo in Extra Time decided this match. De La Fuente also made a top build-up change in the 2nd half where Ruiz dropped next to Rodri and Morata acted as a false 9 for more central access as the wings were blocked. These are top tactical processes and thus the best coaching/best match of the Euros. Germany vs Spain should have been the final.

Martinez is hands down a top 3 cb itw atm. Romero and him make the best international duo I’ve seen in the past weeks bar none.
