like im not gonna speak for all africans that grew up in the UK but since i come from a relatively niche african country in comparison to say the more well known ones like nigeria or ghana for example, i mostly learnt abt how slavery affected my country from my family members

and then on top of that (from my experience at least) in regards to the black pov, we only learn how it affected caribbeans (or more specifically jamaicans) due to jamaica's ties to the uk thanks to things like the windrush saga and the large carribbean population in the UK

nah we defo learn abt it, i think it's moreso the fact that since we usually learn abt it in primary school, they only rlly teach us the basics of colonialism/the slave trade along with the fact that not all schools follow the same curriculum

@SneakEasyArt @AguChampZero yea like i grew up with sonic when the classic fans were the dominant faction at the start of the 2010s and whilst their elitism was mad corny, they could at least back their chat like sonic 1 and especially 2, 3k and cd are easily better than a good chunk of the dark age games
