Today we dedicated Bolt Tower, the new public art piece outside the OG&E Coliseum at the OKC Fairgrounds. This monumental piece - funded by “1% for art” in MAPS 4 - includes a time capsule and evokes our Fair’s history. I’m always grateful to our voters and taxpayers who are willing to invest in OKC. And our “1% for art” ordinance (first passed in 2009) ensures that those investments also address the look of our city. That commitment is why we have been voted the #1 city in the nation for public art - twice!
