@LiesAmongUs @blaiklockBP Halal just means permitted or permissible and so anything that isn’t prohibited is permissible. In the case of meat, Muslims are permitted to eat non-halal meat if no halal food is available, and so the answer to your question is yes, if necessary.

A chicken that is definately not Halal. The price tells you as well. A normal chicken is £3-£5. This one is over £10. This is one of the best producers in Britain. Slaughterhouse number 5450 is Traditional Norfolk Poultry Ltd, located in Attleborough, Norfolk Real free range, Real Red Tractor, Real RSPCA. Pity they do not lablel it Not Halal.

As soon as you slit the throat with a sharp knife there is an immediate steep drop in blood pressure rendering the animal unconscious. The science supports this.
