Since people want to LIE about me, I think it’s about that time I tell my story. In 1999 I met a man. Never in a million years did I ever think he would do what he did to me. We got an apartment together and we decided to buy the paint and do it ourselves instead of waiting for the complex to do it. Little did I know at the time, this was his plan to isolate me away from those I loved the most. Not even 12 hours into that lease, all hell broke loose. He had been drinking all day, and his father had given him some of the morphine he was prescribed. All I did was say “NO” to rubbing his back, and that right there almost cost me my life. Before I knew it, he had tackled me onto the concrete floor, there was the cheapest carpet and padding, and underneath was pure concrete. I hit that ground so hard I pissed myself. It immediately knocked the wind out of me, but that was just the beginning of what turned out to be a fight for my life. As soon as I hit that concrete, he was on top of me with all of his weight, no matter how much I struggled, I was no match. That’s when he began to strangle me. My world was fading away fast. I could see the blackness creeping in. I couldn’t scream as he had both hands around my neck. I couldn’t kick, he was on top of me. The punches I was throwing were to no avail. All I could do was stretch my arms out and feel for anything that I could fight back with! That was when my fingertips met the flimsy dollar tree butter knife that we had purchased earlier that day. We had used it to pry open the can of paint we had bought. By grabbing that butter knife, my attacker let go, which if he hadn’t, I wouldn’t be here today. I had a choice to make. It was either that butter knife, or my life. The metal ring that was attached to a full can of paint was mere inches away. But when you’re in that sort of situation, mere inches may as well be miles. Thankfully, the only thing I could get was that butter knife! He seen it in my hand, and that’s when he let go! I remember taking that first breath like it was yesterday! I don’t think I’ve ever taken a breath like that ever since. It was so flimsy, I remember it bent into a perfect “U” shape when we tried to open the can of paint earlier on that day. In fact, we laughed about how cheap it was. Well, that cheap knife saved my life, so it became PRICELESS to me. I didn’t stab him, like some radical on the internet claims I did. You can’t stab someone with a butter knife, its ROUNDED tip won’t allow it to break skin. After he had let go, I was able to flee and get to my parent’s house. 3 hours had passed and the police show up. HE called the police! He neglected to tell them he had strangled me so badly, my eyes had hemorrhaging and they were 90% swollen shut. The handprints and clear signs of strangulation were no match for my words that I picked up the butter knife on the floor next to where he had tackled me! That’s when the handcuffs were slapped on and a 2nd degree felony assault charge came along with them. I chose to take it to the grand jury, because there was no way I was going to go to prison for this! And so it came time for me to testify, and I told them the truth. Then he testified, which should’ve netted PERJURY charges, just saying… The grand jury decided to dismiss the case against me. They came back a “NO TRUE BILL,” meaning, the state could not prove beyond all reasonable doubt that I committed the crime HE said I did. And so I thought all of that was behind me. But apparently not. Because some BETA male on TikTok decided to LIE and tell people I stabbed someone with a butter knife, now I was forced to relive that experience all over again. This person is a VERY ugly person, inside and out. And that’s a fact. If he think I won’t fight his lies, well, folks….he picked on the right one this time. LFG.
