If anything, there needs to be more oversight of climate spending.
It is clear that legislators don't care if the CO2 tax is used effectively and they don't want the public examining how they are spending the money.
The claim that the CO2 tax is needed to cut emissions is just another pie crust promise - easily made, easily broken. 3/3

Soon after the report from @EcologyWA revealed that revenue from the state's CO2 tax is being wasted, legislators will hear a bill (HB 2251) that eliminates the requirement to "evaluate the impacts" of state-funded climate projects.
Crazy.
That's not all... 1/2 #waleg

@WAPolicyGreen Great book Todd! Might need to read it again. 🙂

An X-mas gift for anyone tired of activists spending more time protesting and destroying art than helping the planet.
"Time to Think Small" shows how empowering people through innovation does more for the planet than giving power to politicians.

BREAKING: The Washington State Bar Association says it will wait to investigate serious accusations of misconduct against @BobFergusonAG until AFTER the November election. This is a travesty. He asked the Secretary of State to break the law! Lawyers protecting lawyers?

Thank you @ChrisDaniels_TV for the chance to make my case that WA deserves a Gov that: 1) will prioritize affordability for families 2) is the public safety candidate endorsed by our police 3) has a record of supporting small businesses not suing them.

50 years ago today, the NASL-era Seattle Sounders played their first-ever match.
It's an honor to have Pepe Fernandez from the 1974 squad with us at @LumenField to celebrate. 💚💙

If you genuinely cannot vote for a Republican for governor, fine. But give your vote to @electmullet then. At least he has a track record of *actually* caring about public safety, not just caring when he wants you to vote for him.

As a King County Councilmember in 2011, I said that protecting the rights and safety of the people is always job #1 of government. I stand by that today. I brought a new approach to the Attorney General’s Office, expanding our ability to take on crime — solving cold cases, holding dangerous criminals accountable, combatting traffickers, and addressing retail theft. I have a comprehensive plan as Governor to improve community safety. My record shows that I will make it happen.

Governor Inslee's latest EV subsidy, which he claims will reduce CO2, is the equivalent of paying $1,125 for a latte.
It is just the latest wasteful, ineffective and unserious climate policy from Washington's politicians. #waleg washingtonpolicy.org/publications/d…
