This is a premium consulting and admissions support role for ambitious students targeting the world's top universities and business schools, think LSE, Oxford, Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, and similar institutions.
While the service helps students take that next big leap in their education, the buyers are typically parents. These are high stakes conversations because families have often invested 10+ years (and significant resources) into their child's education.
There's real urgency built in for you because of the industry. The way the education system works at this level, you get one meaningful shot per year at these elite programs. Rejection means either settling for a lesser option or waiting another full year.
If you're able to articulate the value props of the offer and build trust the sale is very straight forward.
The founder is very specific about the profile that will thrive here. He wants someone who can confidently articulate the value in these emotionally charged, high stakes discussions and who also looks and sounds the part.
Ideal profile:
- 28+ years old (flexible, but maturity is key)
- Solid experience in sales / closing high value deals ($500,000+ in sales)
- Strong desirables (not deal-breakers): You've attended a strong university yourself or you have a child who has recently gone through the university application process
What the role offers:
- Base + commission structure
- Realistic first month earnings potential of around $12,000 once ramped (with significant upside as you scale)
