@sketching204 I may have some issues 'cause every week or so I spend AT LEAST an hour in a deep dive analysis of both Judy's and Nick's characters. How can I entertain myself with THAT and then find some that reduce these characters to adjectives that actually apply for jack shit >:(

@okiberri Even sadder is that her character was conditioned to BE like that. Be the hero that saves the city or else you don't deserve to be a cop, that's why she seems to take "insane" choices. That's what she had to do her whole life to allow her dream to survive

@okiberri The only selfish thing she did was the willingness to give her life for the right thing without really evaluating the sacrifice, giving her all as THE option and not AN option, selfless selfishness. She WAS like a rebel hero that dies too soon and could had been so much more

real talk though i am lowkey sick of the same old criticisms of judy in this movie because if it was nick acting that way he would have been hailed a hero who went out of his way to save the reptiles... funny how it's annoying, reckless and selfish when a woman does it tho 🤔

@BeatzCanary I really love her arc; the consequences she paid for her biases, losing someone for it; the guilt of breaking the city; three months of her dream gone, becoming what she was told to be. All that to still do the right thing, her biggest strength guiding her to overcome her flaws

“she’s biased against predators in the first one” brother that’s called a character flaw, there is a REASON she abandons this eventually This is the same problem with Joy from Inside Out. God forbid a protagonist isn’t flawed and is completely totally perfect
