One thing Chapter One of The Richest Man in Babylon makes clear is that wealth doesn’t start with money, it starts with intention. Wanting to be rich is not enough if the desire is vague and impracticable. It has to be specific, deliberate, and backed by action. A lot of people earn, but remain broke, which shows that income alone isn’t the answer. The real shift begins when you learn to keep a portion of what you earn. That simple act of saving, of paying yourself first (a portion as minute as one-tenth of your earnings), is the foundation everything else is built on. The chapter also makes it clear that complaining changes nothing. Opportunities exists of course, but they favor those who are prepared and disciplined enough to take them. If you truly want to grow, you must be willing to learn from those who have already walked the path and legitimately created wealth for themselves. At the end of the day, wealth is less about how much you make and more about how intentionally you manage what you have. Listen to Common Sense. 🫵🏽

Ask me, and I’ll give you the nations.– Psalm 2:8 Mathew 7:7— Ask and it shall be given unto you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you. Also, Mark 11:24— whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. It urges life to believe in life. Listen to Common Sense. 🧏🏼‍♂️🫵🏽

@Nedumooree Yeah. There is always hunger for more and that’s how growth happens, but we should know just when and where to stop. ✋

After secondary school, my only goal was simple: work, buy a smartphone, and stop working. I got the phone, but almost immediately, the goal shifted. Next, it was saving ₦20k in my account. I hit that too, and from there, the cycle just continued. It goes on and on, like a road stretched ahead of us. You think you can see the end, but it keeps extending endlessly into the woods as you get closer. That’s the thing about humans, we’re rarely ever fully satisfied. There’s always another target, another milestone, another “just one more.” And that’s exactly why material things shouldn’t be the yardstick for happiness. If they are, you’ll keep chasing and never quite arrive. Listen to common sense. 🫵🏽

When I was younger, back in primary school, I used to say that once I made 1 million, I would stop working. But now, after finishing university and starting my own business, I’ve made that 1 million and I’m still hustling. It’s funny because I just heard my little brother saying the exact same thing.
