‘An absurd joke.’ Pollster Matt Goodwin believes Britain’s welfare system needs reform, calling it ‘insane’ that 600,000 households are receiving more welfare pay than the average worker’s salary. 📺 Freeview 236, Sky 512, Virgin 604

@ConorNigel No no ! Do not USE your child. They are their own entity. Too many people use their kids as their legacy to carry the family name! That’s bullshit. Let your child be their own person. They are not your legacy!!

The worst feeling with ADHD… is wasting an entire day doing nothing, while your mind keeps reminding you of everything you should be doing. You’re stuck between guilt and paralysis.

SSRI (antidepressants) are an attack on life. People tell me they look at their children and know they love them but can't feel it. ... That touching their partner feels no different than touching a stranger's elbow. These drugs can sever the neurological wiring for love, pleasure, and connection. This isn't a side effect—it's an assault on the human soul.

@NotFarLeftAtAll You don’t shag your mate’s missus, even if he is dead, it’s an unwritten rule. As for Kate, it’s about time she was put out to pasture by @itvnews. She’s an OAP, so give someone a bit younger and up-and-coming a chance. 👌🏻

Kate Garraway has fallen for her late husband’s friend Liam Halligan. "I've known her for a long time," Liam told Mark Dolan's Talk TV show. "I knew Derek, I was a political commentator, of course I knew him. In recent years for different reasons, we have both become single, against our wishes. So in recent weeks and months, Kate and I have become good friends. Kate has formed a close friendship with Liam and they really enjoy one another's company," a source told the Daily Mail. "Liam makes her laugh, he is very funny and they've been hanging out with their close circle of mates. Kate doesn't know if it will go anywhere. Maybe it will, maybe it won't, but it's complicated. Hmmm..🤔

Nobody warns you what ADHD looks like at 40. Every year of unfinished projects and missed promotions stacks up. The question stops being "why can't I focus" and becomes "who could I have been?."

Buy a train ticket from London to Manchester three weeks in advance. Costs you more than a return flight to Spain. Get to Euston, the board flips to delayed. Then cancelled. Then 'we're sorry to announce this service has been altered.' Stand on the platform with a few hundred other people while a bloke on a microphone reads out a list of stations that no longer exist on your journey. Half the platform is sat on the floor. The replacement bus turns up 90 minutes later. You arrive at midnight. The compensation form online is 18 questions long and ends with 'this delay was partially weather related, no compensation due.' The trains keep getting more expensive every year. The reliability never quite keeps up. Nobody in charge seems particularly bothered.

Emotional dysregulation is a core (but often overlooked) part of ADHD. The ADHD brain has difficulty regulating the intensity of emotions, especially when overstimulated or overwhelmed. Minor frustrations can trigger disproportionate anger or irritability—what’s often called ADHD rage. If this resonates, our app is like a pocket ADHD coach—helping you understand your brain and build momentum in a way that finally works for you. Curious about how ADHD shows up in everyday life? This is your brain on SSRIs: chemically castrated not just sexually but emotionally, morally, spiritually. The same serotonergic manipulation that's supposed to lift your mood also severs the invisible threads connecting you to everything that matters.

NO amount of challenging your thoughts will help you when you’re in a dysregulated state. We can’t work from the cortex down while our rational brain is OFF-line. Ground yourself first. Breathe, Tap, Shake, use warm or cool temp changes, sing, hum, and THEN use your frontals for help. XO, Dr. Jen
