As ActionSA, we stand by our position and proposal we submitted to the Standing Committee on Finance on 1 April 2025, and approved by majority. We also stand by our position to support the Report of the Finance Committee submitted to Parliament on 2 April 2025, and democratically approved by majority. Any other proposal outside this would have meant government without a budget to serve the South African people, and still automatically VAT kicking in on 1 May 2025.
