Blistering darkwave goth rockets from Argentina’s legendary one-off synth group, reissued on vinyl for first time in 35 years - RIYL Xmal Deutschland, Lebanon Hanover, Cute Heels, heck-raising synth wave 🇦🇷 Back in vinyl print for its first outing since 1987, the sole album by Euroshima packs a vital payload of hot-stepping 707 drum machine, needling guitars and melodramatic vocals for the ages. Upon original release ‘Gala’ earned the band a mean reputation in South America, but an in attendant label left it to the vultures and its since become a cult (read: expensive) preserve of collectors and goths of means. Echoing the stylized pains of early ‘80s Northern England via Argentina, ‘Gala’ brings its own sexiness to the darkwave goth sound thanks to Wanda’s reverberating vox and a below-the-belt drive to guide the flounce and coquettish mating rituals of all-black clad dancers from Batley to Buenos Aires.
