Do keep in mind, guys, that if the Pope - or any senior Church leader - were to forcefully condemn Islam or even a Muslim action it would mean scores of Christians being murdered in retaliation. This does play a role in how things are presented.

Hay muchos sorprendidos con el hecho de que uno de los principales grupos que salieron a defender al Papa León XIV contra la embestida de Donald Trump fueron los musulmanes. La respuesta es que el Islam es una de las religiones que mas respeta al cristianismo. Sobre todo porque Jesús es fundamental en su creencia, lo consideran el mesías y esperan su venida. Además a la Virgen María la honran, la afirman como un modelo espiritual, una mujer pura y la mas importante en toda su religión. Incluso tiene un capítulo entero en el Corán, aparte de ser la única mencionada. De ninguna manera los musulmanes van a aceptar por parte de sectas, la falta de respeto hacia Jesús, su madre y la fe de miles de millones de personas.
