@PatricksHillPrk Looks to me like people did for the most part want to clean up after themselves but then bins are full. More bins are necessary maybe? Or more frequent emptying?

What is it about our public green space that makes a small (but persistent) group of people think it’s ok to have illegal drinking sessions late at night, dump massive amounts of rubbish and leave (to return again the next night)?? And what can we change to stop this? 1/2

@marienich In BMEA 2x^2=(2x)^2.

It mightn't quite be suitable for primary school students but BEMDAS (or whatever way you write down the conventional order of operations) could be recast as the simpler/shorter BEMA... it just takes the understanding that division is multiplication and subtraction is addition.

@JP_Mc_C They have issue with lots of things, I just don't think 'bemdas' helps. For 2x^2 the important thing is that the lack of brackets means that the square only applies to the x - maybe since I never learned bemdas myself, I don't think in terms of it.

@marienich I don't know. Students will have issue with 2x^2... and is 5^(1/2) repeated multiplication?
