@ladynoirduo Marinette, whilst manipulated by Gabriel, still has full autonomy over her decisions. Her initial lie was a result of manipulation but she continued to fuel the lie, digging herself into a deeper hole, and even manipulating Adrien.

Girl adrien wasn't in control of his actions he was akumatized 😭 marinette is fully concious and is perpetuating this decision for months even with adrien telling her to her face he is not buying what everyone says about his father. Marinette IS a complex and grey character.

Like not to be rude but are we being fr? Adrien was akumatized against his will and he couldn’t control his powers as cat blanc, accidentally killing ladybug in the process. Whilst Marinette was also manipulated, she still made a conscious decision to lie and DOUBLE DOWN on it
