@TimelyPulonia Sandrone mentions wishing that she had taken better care of Alain's invention i.e. their family, so not exposing things/people she cares for into danger again seems in character, so while it is a shame, I'm not surprised that Fagio is pure machine and not much else.

@TimelyPulonia Not saying I like it, but I think the point is for Fagio to be combat oriented. This is maybe giving Hoyo too much credit again, but Sandrone likely regrets that she had to put Pulonia on the front lines. He was a gentle giant. His combat upgrades were out of necessity.

My obvious bias aside, I still question the introduction of Fagio. I actually like Fagio’s design, but… what does she DO? Despite being silent, Pulonia had a certain personality to him that Fagio just doesn’t have. He was a gentle giant, she just feels like a featureless robot.

kinda sad they didnt show what fagio capable of juz like they used to show what pulonia was capable of as sandrone's companion like... princess carrying her, protecting her, making tea and cookies for her, being her walking encyclopedia....😭

@DeaconJohn0 Yaoguang is a good example, but the fact that DHPT, Sparkle, and Huohuo were free and are staple slots in multiple teams makes building for late game much easier. I think it'd be nice if Genshin made strong supports for less premium teams more accessible in the same way.

@ICherishNahida It's also how players get introduced to these places, I think. Tons of games have beautiful vistas, but Genshin directs players through narrow viewing corridors into wonderful new areas. I loved how they used the "Death Moon" achievement when revealing the dark side of the moon.

@crucifixheaven I guess at the very least both Sandrone and Columbina are remorseful that it took them so long to understand what was important (each other) and given it took hundreds of years that is a meaningful thing to regret.

@marionettesbook i think she was recruited 400~ years ago? since she was already a part of the fatui when og zandik was (still) alive… the notebook also points to it since the snezh entry comes directly after the funeral section

@marionettesbook yeah the notebook bit makes sense… but i rly think she went straight to snezhnaya shortly after alain’s passing, the chr story 3 seems to be set in the timeframe when zandik (who died 400~ years ago) was still alive / columbina was about to be recruited (last line of the story)

@crucifixheaven The notebook I interpreted to mean she simply put down the pen for several hundred years actually. Why write when the person who told you to is gone, sort of thing.

@crucifixheaven Yeah that seems strange if only because that would imply she spent 400 years with Alain which doesn't seem right either. Or maybe she was undercover in Fontaine for the majority and only was recalled to Snezhnaya a few years before the story? It just feels messy.
