“The challenge was to make his movements feel realistic but match the anime movement style of Mirai. This meant his movements were subtle, not very exaggerated, with moving holds and lots of little secondary nervous actions like twitching his ears and tail. His talking is also animated in a more subtle way, he wouldn't open his mouth that much but has rather small snappy lipsync.”

“I loved animating the fox because he has such a sneaky personality. As an animator I use the rig controls (the thin round shapes) to move the fox around and build up his performance and actions.”
