Worked outside today. Ignore my hoses and rocks. The pots are starting to kick in and this year I used red petunias, blue salvia and potato vine. On July 4 I’ll add some little flags.
As I worked, I played back memories in my mind and reflected on the sacrifice my daddy and four brothers made for our country. God rest their souls.

I don’t wonder much anymore why God allows evil/suffering & it’s no longer an obstacle to my faith. In fact, it strengthens it, paradoxically.
For me, a slightly more difficult, but related question is why he allows Satan to exist, to tempt us , and wreak havoc, but that too no longer bothers me much. I think I get that as well, though I won’t elaborate here.

@stevearkwright @CattardSlim There was ZERO pressure at the time, and Trump never promised it. (Some on his campaign team talked Epstein, but Trump rarely did.) So it's still a great mystery to me that Trump would allow Bondi to make Epstein her initial project, if it was so damaging to him.

I didn’t know Nixon was a big Tolstoy fan. I’ve read 7 of these, but Nixon was a genuinely smart man, not just a performer. He didn’t have ghost writers to fake a book for him like John Kennedy and Profiles In Courage. Probably gonna check out the other 5.

Massie's stand against trump last year hurt him. But he was healing from it, regaining momentum. Meanwhile, Trump has fallen ten points in approval since same time last year.
