As a European vtuber, I decided to stream in English and not in my native language because the English-speaking vtuber community is bigger and more common. I also think most online English learners tend to speak in an American accent, so it's easy to assume they're American. I tried very hard to sound like a native speaker, but I still have a slight accent. Even then, some people still tell me they think I'm American 🤣 when clearly I'm not. Since most people want to stream in English, it looks like there aren't many European vtubers. But there are so many! and I'm glad I now sometimes speak in my native language too, a bilingual community is amazing 💖
