Heyy 😭
I’m Halimah Oyindamola, Diaa on X.
400 level student nurse in a Nigerian uni, just trying to survive school and life at the same time 🥲. I trade on the side, create content, and yeah… I fool around on this app a lot.
I like to play, gist, and interact with people that actually have sense and good vibes. If you’re annoying, please rest 😭
I’m 19 and I’m open to meeting people in my niche; traders, creators, or just normal humans that are fun to talk to.
If you’re seeing this, we might as well be mutuals 🤝🏽

@htkzone Day 3 sounds familiar Auth is always the first rabbit hole. I'm building HVT (open-source auth with project-scoped runtime + built-in RBAC) exactly because of this so you don't spend days gluing
English

Day 3 of prompting my way to $1M.
Thought of an idea today to start my first app/saas building journey. Started with a mobile app first.
Quickly realised you need to do whole bunch of things :-
- Auth
- Database
- Thinking app interface/themes
- Building the app itself
- Edge functions for api calls
- Onboarding
- Paywalls
- App assets - icons & scrrenshots
- Filling apple and google platforms which looks so bloated with so much to fill
Hopefully will be able to get all done in 2-3 days and then submit for review. 🤞🏻

@AkhilKompally @Alexand63390764 You could also use a digital ocean droplet too depending on your need but the trade off is you handle all your configs migrations e.t.c
English

@Alexand63390764 But the render has the cold start issue in free tier the present application is deployed in the railway and I have choosen deployment via docker
English

What are you building this weekend?
Implemented auth for my latest project nexscreen.vercel.app
I know I am slow has hell need to be more consistent
Also need a platform to host my current backend beacuse the current deployed backend is in the trial version gonna end soon🥲
English

@AkhilKompally Built auth over the weekend too always trickier than expected What did you end up using? I'm the one building HVT (open-source project-scoped auth with built-in RBAC). Been iterating on it to avoid the usual bolt-on headaches later. How's yours going so far?
English

@codingmenace @kristijan_kralj Agreed. Most startups are paying for Auth0's enterprise headroom they'll never use. Purpose-built auth that you actually own is a better default. hvts.app
English

@kristijan_kralj Auth0 is not necessary and is also expensive especially for startups. I'm also not a fan of SignalR. There's better options out there.
English

All you need to launch a real product:
1. Auth → [ASP .NET Core Identity, Auth0, Keycloak]
2. Database → [EF Core + SQL Server/PostgreSQL]
3. Payments → [Stripe, PayPal]
4. Security → [FluentValidation, OWASP]
5. Frontend → [Next.js + Shadcn/UI]
6. Backend → [ASP .NET Core Web API]
7. Notifications → [SendGrid, SignalR]
8. Observability → [Application Insights, Serilog, OpenTelemetry]
Solid foundations turn ideas into empires.

@ValerianWaters @ritu_twts Supabase auth is great until you need audit logs, RBAC, or webhook events and have to bolt things together. HVT sits right between the two purpose-built auth, self-hostable, no MAU pricing. hvts.app
English

@ritu_twts Supabase is the path of least resistance for me right now. Auth0 feels like overkill for most projects and the pricing jump is still scary.
English

@stevenaranjo1 @EconExpt @Austen Same moment a lot of devs hit. We built HVT out of that frustration self-hostable, open-source, no MAU taxes. Worth a look: hvts.app
English

I’m looking for a feedback loop. Try it out, check the code, or see how it fits your next project:
App: hvts.app
Docs: docs.hvts.app
Would love your thoughts on the app or the flow. Let’s build. 🫡
